These terms explain the rules for using Twiglet, the app to care for and water your houseplants (the "App"), made by BalcarDev, based in Argentina ("we"). By creating an account or using the App you accept these terms and our Privacy Policy. If you don't agree, don't use the App.

1. What Twiglet is

Twiglet helps you organize watering for your plants: it works out when each one needs watering, groups watering on the days you choose, sends you reminders, keeps the history and gives you tips. It can also recognize a plant from a photo and give you a diagnosis of its health using artificial intelligence.

Right now the App is free. If we add paid features or ads in the future, we'll let you know beforehand and update these terms.

2. Your account

To use the App you need an account, which you can create with Google, with Apple or with your email.
You must be at least 13 years old. If you are under the age required in your country to accept these terms on your own, you need permission from your mother, father or guardian.
You are responsible for keeping access to your account safe and for what is done with it.
You can delete your account whenever you want from the App (Settings) or by following the steps in Delete account.

3. Tips don't replace a professional

Plant identification, diagnoses and tips are for guidance only. They come from general guides and from an artificial intelligence model that can make mistakes: it may confuse a species, miss a problem or suggest care that doesn't suit your plant.

Before an important decision (a treatment, a chemical product, repotting), check with a plant nursery or a specialist.
Toxicity: the App not marking a plant as toxic doesn't mean it's safe. If you have pets or kids, confirm it with a vet or a professional before keeping the plant within their reach. If it's ingested, contact a vet or a poison control center right away.
Never use the App to decide whether a plant can be eaten or used as a remedy.

4. Your content

The photos, names, notes and other data you add are yours. You give us permission to store them, process them and show them to you only to make the App work (for example, sending a photo to the artificial intelligence service to recognize the plant). We don't publish them or use them for anything else. When you delete your account, we delete them as explained in the Privacy Policy.

Only upload photos you have the right to use, and avoid showing people or personal data: the App is meant for photos of plants.

If you share the vacation card or a card of your plant, you choose with whom and through which channel; that happens outside the App.

5. Proper use

Don't use the App for anything illegal, don't try to access other people's accounts or data, don't interfere with how it works and don't use it in an automated way to take advantage of its services (for example, the artificial intelligence). So the service can stay free, the App has daily limits on artificial intelligence use.

If someone breaches these terms, we may suspend or close their account.

6. Availability and changes

We do our best to keep the App working well and without interruptions, but we can't guarantee it: there may be errors, outages, or features that change or stop being available. Reminders depend on your phone's system (battery saving, notification permissions) and sometimes may not arrive.

If we decide to stop offering the App, we'll give you reasonable advance notice so you can download your data.

7. Liability

The App is provided "as is". To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for damage to your plants, your pets or your property resulting from following a recommendation from the App, from a reminder that didn't arrive or from an error in an identification or diagnosis. None of this limits the rights that your country's consumer protection law gives you and that cannot be waived.

8. Ownership of the App

The Twiglet name, the design, the texts, the guides, the illustrations and the App's code are ours or we have permission to use them. We give you permission to use the App on your devices for your personal use; not to copy, modify or resell it.

9. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. If the change is important, we'll let you know in the App before it takes effect. If you keep using the App afterwards, it's understood that you accept the new version; if you don't agree, you can delete your account.

10. Governing law and contact

These terms are governed by the laws of the Argentine Republic, without prejudice to the consumer protection rules of your country of residence that are more favorable to you. For any question or complaint, write to us at twigletapp@gmail.com: almost everything gets solved by talking.
